The Tormaresca Torcicoda Primitivo Salento IGT 2023, 15% ABV, 0.75 l, is a full-bodied, complex red wine from Apulia that captures the essence of southern Italy in a concentrated form. It comes from the renowned Tormaresca estate, which belongs to the long-established Antinori family and is famous for its high-quality wines from the Salento region. The Torcicoda is made exclusively from the Primitivo grape variety – the very grape that has made Apulia one of Italy’s most significant wine-producing regions.


The grapes are carefully harvested by hand, then gently pressed and macerated and fermented for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at 26 °C. This is followed by ageing and malolactic fermentation in French and Hungarian oak barriques, which lend the wine its velvety texture and subtle spice. After 8 months’ ageing in the bottle, it is released onto the market perfectly matured. Its ageing potential of up to 10 years underlines the exceptional quality and development potential of this top-class wine from Apulia.
