Maestro Reserva is crafted from select American sherry oak casks, personally chosen by the Maestros Roneros and subsequently refined using the exclusive Dark Aromatic Toasting Technique – a process used exclusively by Brugal. In this process, the natural sugars in the staves are caramelised through precise application of heat, creating fine caramel pearls. When the casks are refilled with rum, these pearls combine with the spirit to form a wonderfully harmonious, naturally sweet and complex composition with a balanced, smooth character.
