The Gérard Bertrand Clos d’Ora 2018, with an alcohol content of 15.5 per cent by volume in a 0.75-litre bottle, is one of the most prestigious wines of the Languedoc and represents Gérard Bertrand’s flagship wine. The biodynamically cultivated plots are situated in La Livinière, one of the finest sites in the Minervois, characterised by limestone, marl and sandy-loam soils. The wine is crafted from a carefully composed cuvée of the finest Mediterranean grape varieties – typically Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre – blended in perfect balance depending on the vintage. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, followed by the strictest selection, separate vinification and a long ageing period in high-quality barriques.

The 2018 vintage is powerful, deep and structured, characterised by the intense sunshine of the Languedoc and the meticulous vinification at Clos d’Ora.
