The Gesellmann Bela Rex 2021, with an alcohol content of 14.5% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle, is a powerful, distinctive red wine blend from Burgenland and ranks amongst the Gesellmann Winery’s prestige wines. The wine is traditionally blended from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which find ideal ripening conditions on the warm, mineral-rich soils of Central Burgenland. Selective hand-harvesting, precise vinification and careful ageing in oak give the Bela Rex its profound structure, aromatic complexity and the characteristic elegance for which the wine has been prized for years.


The 2021 vintage is dense, concentrated and, at the same time, finely balanced. The distinctive fruit character, juicy texture and elegant tannins combine to create a full-bodied, complex red wine with impressive length. The combination of fine woody notes, clear fruit and a mineral core bears the winery’s hallmark and underlines the special character of this cuvée.
