Glendalough Wild Rose Gin is a delicately nuanced yet aromatically complex spirit that carries a very personal story. This gin was originally created in honour of Rose, the late mother of Head Distiller Ciaran ‘Rowdy’ Rooney, and was first served at his brother’s wedding. To keep her memory alive, the distillery uses carefully tended roses from its own garden, which are vapour-distilled using a particularly gentle process alongside wild roses and botanicals from the mountains surrounding the distillery. This results in an intensely floral, elegant gin. After distillation, it is further macerated with rose petals, which both deepens the flavour and brings out its natural, pale pink colour.


This gin embodies the distinctive signature of the Irish Glendalough Distillery, which is renowned for its closeness to nature and its meticulous craftsmanship. The combination of cultivated roses, wild botanicals and a gentle citrus note gives Wild Rose Gin an expressive yet balanced profile. At 37.5% ABV, it is mild, aromatic and open, making it ideal for fresh, floral drinks. Its artisanal production and the emotional story behind its creation make this gin a special addition to the range of modern, floral premium gins.
