The Tschermonegg Welschriesling Südsteiermark DAC 2025 is a classic Styrian white wine, made from 100 per cent Welschriesling grapes, which authentically reflects its origins in Southern Styria. The 2025 vintage was initially characterised by a dry and unusually mild winter, before the vines budded evenly in mid-April. The estate’s high-altitude vineyard sites were spared frost damage, whilst favourable conditions in May and June enabled successful flowering. An exceptionally hot and dry summer subsequently resulted in small, concentrated berries. The harvest began as early as 1 September, yielding grapes of outstanding quality, moderate alcohol content and a lively acidity profile. As a Südsteiermark DAC Welschriesling, this vintage combines regional character with a straightforward, precise style.

Following vinification, the Tschermonegg Welschriesling 2025 matures on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks for eight months. The absence of oak highlights the grape variety’s authentic character and its terroir, whilst the extended ageing on the fine lees lends the wine additional structure. With 12% alcohol in the 0.75 l bottle, this dry white wine is a versatile representative of Southern Styria. It is sealed with a practical screw cap, which reliably preserves its fresh style. The stated ageing potential of around four years allows not only for immediate enjoyment but also for a certain degree of bottle ageing. This makes the Welschriesling Südsteiermark DAC 2025 from the Tschermonegg Winery an excellent choice for lovers of straightforward, regionally typical and dry Styrian white wines.
