For Mars The Y.A. Slightly Peated #04, selected single malts from various Mars distilleries are blended together. A defining characteristic is the deliberately subtle influence of peat, which lends the whisky additional depth without overshadowing the clear, elegant style of Japanese whiskies. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, complemented by other carefully selected oak casks to achieve balance, structure and complexity.
