Description
Description
The Hillinger Small Hill Red 2024 is a harmonious and exceptionally approachable Austrian quality red wine blend from Burgenland, which is ideal for modern drinking pleasure and versatile pairing. Produced by the renowned Leo Hillinger winery, this Austrian red wine blends three grape varieties into a balanced composition with a smooth character and distinct fruitiness. The blend consists of 50% Merlot, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% St. Laurent, combining rich fruit, elegance and structure to create a harmonious whole.
The Hillinger Small Hill Red is vinified as a dry wine, fermented predominantly in stainless-steel tanks, and gains additional depth from 10 per cent used barriques without losing its supple nature. With an alcohol content of 13 per cent, the 2024 vintage is full-bodied, round and harmonious. The style is deliberately designed for versatility and drinking pleasure, meaning this cuvée red wine pairs well with a wide range of dishes. Its defined ageing potential of around three years underlines the focus on freshness and immediate enjoyment. Bottled with a screw cap, this red wine from Burgenland is modern, uncomplicated and accessible at any time.
