Planteray Barbados X.O. is a harmonious blend of various Barbados rums, each aged for at least 13 years. The individual distillates are first aged in ex-bourbon casks in the Caribbean, where they develop their pleasant sweetness and smooth texture. The blend is then assembled at Cognac Ferrand in France, before the rum undergoes a second maturation phase in small, old French oak cognac casks. This double maturation imparts exceptional depth, creamy smoothness and elegant cask notes. With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, this XO rum is harmonious, full-bodied and impressively smooth.
