The Highland Park 18 Years Old VIKING PRIDE Travel Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been one of the best-known and most renowned expressions from the Highland Park Distillery for many years and epitomises the balanced style of the Scottish islands. Produced on the Orkney Islands, this single malt Scotch whisky combines maritime influences with a subtle, controlled smokiness that sets it apart from the heavier Islay styles. It is matured for a full 18 years, predominantly in sherry casks made from European and American oak, supplemented by selected bourbon casks, which lend it depth, structure and elegance.


The name ‘Viking Pride’ refers to the Orkneys’ Nordic origins and the region’s historical ties to Scandinavian culture. The Travel Edition is bottled at 43 per cent, thus retaining a high level of aromatic intensity without being chill-filtered. Highland Park traditionally uses lightly peated malt, which imparts a subtle smokiness that blends harmoniously with sherry spice, honey notes and oak aromas. Highland Park 18 Years Old is regarded as a particularly well-balanced example of the Island single malts and impresses with its complexity, its mature character and its long-lasting finish.
