Matsui Whisky THE KURAYOSHI Pure Malt Whisky Sherry Cask embodies the precise craftsmanship of the Japanese Matsui Shuzo distillery in Tottori Prefecture. This Japanese pure malt whisky is based on particularly soft, low-mineral water that originates from the snow-capped peaks of Mount Daisen and is filtered through natural rock. The quality of this water has a significant influence on the clarity and balance of the distillate. The whisky is first matured for three years in carefully selected, charred oak casks, before a finish in sherry oak casks lends the whisky additional depth, structure and complexity.


This Sherry Cask Pure Malt Whisky is bottled at 43 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle and is deliberately non-chill-filtered to fully preserve its texture and character. The Pure Malt style allows for the blending of several malt whiskies within the distillery, ensuring a harmonious, clearly defined overall profile.
