The Clydeside FORTNIGHT Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a special bottling from the Clydeside Distillery that adds a new facet to the distillery's classic house style. The name FORTNIGHT, the English term for 14 days, refers to the short period of the year in which peated whisky is deliberately distilled at Clydeside. This targeted production phase complements the distillery's core range and adds a smoky dimension to the otherwise clear, fruit-orientated Lowland single malt Scotch whisky without losing its typical elegance.


Produced with Clydeside's usual precision, this single malt whisky is made from 100% Scottish barley, malted to 54 ppm with Highland Peat. Pure water from Loch Katrine, which has been prized for its quality for generations, is used as process water. Maturation takes place over six years in refill oak barrels, which allows the smoke to remain integrated in a controlled manner and gives room for fruit and structure. Bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour, this bottling retains its full texture and authentic character. Distilled and bottled by Morrison Glasgow Distillers, Clydeside FORTNIGHT represents a deliberate extension of the Lowland style with a moderate peat influence.
