The Bladnoch 8 Years Old Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Californian Red Wine Cask forms part of the Double Matured Collection from the historic Bladnoch Distillery and embodies a modern, flavour-focused Lowland style. The distillery combines its whisky-making tradition, stretching back over 200 years, with contemporary cask concepts, whilst consistently focusing on aroma, texture and provenance. Only locally grown barley and exceptionally pure water from the Bladnoch River are used in its production, resulting in a clearly structured and elegant Lowland single malt Scotch whisky.


This bottling was matured for over eight years and, as a double-matured single malt whisky, was first stored in American oak casks before undergoing a second phase of maturation in Californian red wine casks. This combination of casks lends the whisky a pronounced fruitiness, depth and a delicately integrated spiciness, without overpowering the typical, light Lowland character. Bottled at 46.7 per cent, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring, the natural texture is fully preserved. As part of the Galloway Collection, this bottling reflects the distillery’s powerful, fruit-forward ‘Bold Galloway Spirit’.
