Description
The Scheiblhofer Mordor 2024 is a full-bodied, high-quality Austrian red wine that combines the distinctive Scheiblhofer style with the terroir of Central Burgenland. This expressive cuvée is the creation of the renowned Scheiblhofer winery, which is known for its structured, barrique-aged red wines with a distinct signature. The Mordor blends Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to create a dense, modern red wine with depth and longevity.
The 12-month ageing in new French barriques lends the wine structure, complexity and a precise tannin framework, without overshadowing its terroir. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., this dry red wine from Burgenland is both powerful and well-balanced. The 2024 vintage is concentrated, clearly structured and designed for ageing. The recommended drinking window from 2025 to 2035 underlines the ageing potential of this barrique-aged red wine, which should ideally be decanted before drinking to allow its complexity to unfold fully.
