Malibu Coconut Rum Liqueur is a world-famous rum-based coconut liqueur, renowned for its unmistakable Caribbean flair. Originally developed in Barbados and established internationally since 1980, this coconut rum liqueur embodies summery lightness and tropical indulgence. The brand was born out of the idea of making classic cocktails such as the Malibu Piña Colada simpler and more accessible. Right from the start, when the product was still known as Coco Rico, Malibu Original has become a staple in the coconut rum liqueur category.

Made from white rum distilled from sugar cane syrup, this Caribbean rum liqueur combines the mild character of a light rum with an intense coconut flavour. With an alcohol content of 18%, it is one of the most popular low-ABV spirits, ideal for simple mixed drinks. Production now takes place mainly in Canada, supplemented by further sites in the USA and Spain. It is characterised by its clear appearance and distinctive tropical flavour profile, which makes it a firm favourite in the world of summer cocktails, beach drinks and party cocktails. Malibu Coconut contains neither coconut milk nor coconut cream nor any other animal-derived ingredients; however, due to the industrial sugar refining process, it is not certified as vegan.
