Justino’s Madeira COLHEITA 1999, 19% vol., 0.75 l, is an expressive, matured Madeira from Portugal that impressively reflects the traditional style of the island of Madeira. Produced by the renowned Vinhos Justino Henriques, this high-quality Madeira DOP belongs to the Colheita Madeira category, which is vinified exclusively from grapes of a single vintage and matured for at least ten years in wooden casks. This fine Madeira, an intermediate wine, is made entirely from the 1999 vintage and is produced from the Tinta Negra grape variety, one of the island’s most important traditional varieties.


The grapes come predominantly from the wine-growing regions of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente, where volcanic soils and the maritime climate create ideal conditions for aromatic depth. Following careful vinification, this Madeira Colheita 1999 matures in American and French oak casks, allowing it to develop its characteristic complexity.
