The Wild Boys of The Club Batonnage BATONNAGE 2023 15% ABV 0.75 l is an exceptionally powerful and strictly limited-edition red wine cuvée from Austria, which ranks amongst the country’s rarest and most expressive wines. This iconic red wine cuvée blends Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the finest vineyards on the Leithaberg and in Andau, two of the most significant regions for full-bodied Austrian red wines. This project is underpinned by uncompromising quality, precise selection and a clear focus on maximum depth and expression.

The wine is aged in French barriques using the elaborate double-oak process, which gives this premium Austrian red wine tremendous density, complexity and an elegant oak structure. With 15 per cent oak influence, the Batonnage 2023 is powerful and concentrated, yet harmoniously integrated. Sealed with natural cork and with a Lager potential extending to around 2037, this single-vineyard cuvée red wine ranks among Austria’s longest-lived top wines, impressing even in its youth whilst gaining further depth as it matures.
