Production is carried out with the utmost precision: hand-harvesting, extremely low yields and intensive maceration over two weeks, followed by a further four weeks of skin contact and malolactic fermentation on the skins, ensure maximum extraction. This premium red wine from Austria is then aged for at least 7 years in used barriques, allowing it to develop impressive complexity and structure. With an ageing potential of up to 20 years, this limited-edition red wine ranks among the longest-lived and most characterful expressions from the Hillinger estate.
