The K+K Kirnbauer KONQUEST 2022 14% ABV 3 l is a powerful Cabernet Franc from Central Burgenland, epitomising intensity, depth and modern Austrian red wine culture. Produced by the renowned K+K Kirnbauer winery, this Austrian red wine embodies the idea of ‘conquering the senses and the pleasure of tasting’. As a single-varietal Cabernet Franc, the KONQUEST impressively demonstrates the potential of this grape variety on the characteristic red clay soils of Burgenland.
Vinification is carried out with the utmost precision: after gentle destemming, the grapes are carefully selected to ensure only perfectly ripened fruit is used. Controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a 21-day maceration period, resulting in an intense extraction of colour, structure and aromas. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in barriques. The wine is then aged for 24 months in new American oak barrels, during which time it develops depth, structure and subtle toasted aromas. Bottled in June 2025, this 3-litre large-format bottle of Cabernet Franc is powerful and complex, with ageing potential until 2036.
