The Hagn Cuvée Komptur 2023 14% ABV 0.75 l is a powerful yet elegant Austrian quality red wine from Lower Austria, produced by Weingut Hagn in Mailberg in the Weinviertel region. The cuvée blends Pinot Noir and Merlot into a harmonious composition and comes from the Zuckerschlee vineyard, whose loess soils provide ideal conditions for complex and expressive Austrian red wines.


After harvest, the grapes are crushed promptly and then fermented for 23 days in stainless-steel tanks at around 27°C, with flooding and aeration ensuring optimal extraction. Subsequent ageing takes place 40 per cent in barriques and 60 per cent in large wooden casks, before the Hagn Cuvée Komptur is bottled after around 24 months of ageing. With an alcohol content of 14 per cent by volume, a recommended serving temperature of 17–19°C and a drinking window from around 2025 to 2033, the Hagn Komptur is a structured, multi-layered red wine with depth and elegance.
