The Cordero di Montezemolo MONFALLETTO Barolo DOCG 2021, 14.5% ABV, 0.75 l, is regarded as the flagship wine of the long-established Cordero di Montezemolo estate in the heart of Piedmont. This classic Barolo DOCG from La Morra is made from 100 per cent Nebbiolo grapes and embodies the essence of the estate’s vineyards. The Monfalletto Barolo is created from a blend of all the plots cultivated by the estate in La Morra, with the exception of small quantities selected for the top wines, Barolo Gattera and Barolo Riserva Gorette. With around 14 hectares of vineyards, this wine represents the estate’s most significant production and embodies the history, style and philosophy of the Montezemolo family.


The grapes are harvested plot by plot to ensure the optimum ripeness for each Lager. Following careful vinification in stainless-steel tanks, the individual batches are aged separately before being blended into the final cuvée only at bottling. This meticulous approach gives the Barolo Monfalletto its characteristic balance of structure, elegance and depth. Despite its classic Barolo structure, this wine displays remarkable approachability and finesse even in its youth. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol. , a natural cork, a recommended serving temperature of 16–18 °C and a ageing potential until around 2039, this Nebbiolo Barolo from Piedmont is one of the most characterful yet elegant examples of its appellation.
