The Masi Costasera Amarone Classico DOCG 2021, 15% ABV, 0.75 l, is a powerful yet elegant Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from Veneto, produced by the long-established Masi Agricola winery. This Italian DOCG red wine is made from the classic grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, which are responsible for the characteristic depth, structure and complexity of a genuine Amarone from Italy. The Costasera Amarone embodies the essence of the Valpolicella Classico region and is one of the best-known examples of this renowned appellation.


Following a careful harvest, the grapes are selected and gently processed. Vinification takes place under temperature-controlled conditions, before the wine matures for around 24 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels and is then allowed to age further in the bottle. With an alcohol content of 15% vol., this Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is powerful, dense and multi-layered. Despite its full body, the wine is dry on the palate and impresses with a remarkable balance, without any overt sweetness. The high viscosity, recognisable by the so-called ‘church windows’ in the glass, underlines the concentration of this exceptional red wine from Veneto.
