Weinhof Szemes Martínez Blaufränkisch Ried Reihburg 2023 13.5% ABV 0.75 l is a terroir-driven and characterful Blaufränkisch from Eisenberg in southern Burgenland, which impressively reflects the mineral character of its origin. Produced by Weinhof Szemes, only the finest, hand-picked grapes from the renowned Reihburg vineyard are used to create this Austrian red wine. The iron-rich green slate soil characterises this special site on the Eisenberg and lends the wine its distinctive minerality and salty vibrancy.


The grapes were harvested on 3 October 2023 and subsequently fermented particularly gently in wooden vats. The wine then matured in large wooden casks, harmoniously blending structure and elegance. With an alcohol content of 13.5% by volume and a dry finish, this Blaufränkisch from Austria is precise, juicy and expressive. The combination of light fruit, mineral depth and a finely structured style makes this single-vineyard wine from Burgenland an authentic expression of the Eisenberg terroir with a high degree of recognisability.
