The Hillinger Pinot Blanc Leithaberg DAC 2018 in a 3-litre bottle is a characterful Leithaberg DAC white wine from Burgenland, which impressively reflects the distinctive character of the renowned region surrounding the Leithaberg. Only selectively hand-picked grapes were used to produce this high-quality Austrian DAC wine. Following a 16-hour maceration period, spontaneous fermentation took place in large wooden barrels, lasting four months. The wine was then aged for around three months on the full lees and a further twelve months on the fine lees. This labour-intensive ageing process lends the oak-aged Pinot Blanc additional complexity, a delicate creaminess and harmoniously integrated spice. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., this Leithaberg white wine is both full-bodied and elegant.
