With this bottling, Wolfburn is presenting a 10-year-old single malt for the first time as part of its Small Batch Series, thereby marking a special milestone in the distillery’s history. Limited to just 3,900 bottles, this edition is designated Release No. 416 and is aimed at collectors and connoisseurs of exceptional single malts. For the Wolfburn Small Batch Release No. 416, only first-fill Ruby Port casks were used, sourced back in 2016 from the famous Douro Valley in Portugal – one of the oldest protected wine regions in the world. The whisky matured for ten years entirely in these first-fill port casks, developing exceptional depth and intense fruit and wine aromas as a result. At 46% ABV, this single malt Scotch whisky is full-bodied and well-balanced. The combination of sweet port aromas, dark fruits, subtle oak notes and the typical character of a Highland single malt makes this bottling a truly special tasting experience.
