The Borgo Conventi COLLIO Pinot Grigio DOC 2024, 13.5% vol., in a 0.75 l bottle, is an elegant Italian white wine from the renowned Collio DOC region in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The historic Borgo Conventi winery looks back on an eventful history, its name deriving from an ancient legend about a noble landowner, a monk and the first monastery in the Farra d’Isonzo area. Its modern success story began in 1975 with the founding of the winery by Gianni Vescovo, whose aim was to produce elegant, terroir-driven wines of the highest quality. Since 2019, Borgo Conventi has been part of the Villa Sandi Group and is managed by the Moretti Polegato family, who also own the renowned Villa Sandi winery. Following the takeover, investment in vineyards and cellar technology has been further expanded, whilst the sustainable quality philosophy has been consistently upheld. The result is wines full of character that authentically reflect the distinctive qualities of the Collio terroir.


The 2024 vintage is made exclusively from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed without any maceration. Temperature-controlled fermentation with selected yeasts takes place in stainless-steel tanks for around ten days, ensuring that the variety’s characteristic freshness and aromatics are optimally preserved. The wine then matures on the fine lees until spring, which lends it additional body and complexity. The result is a harmonious Collio Pinot Grigio DOC that combines elegance, freshness and subtle minerality. Thanks to its balanced structure, it is ideal for drinking young, yet also has the potential to be cellared for several years.
