The Ozeki Junmai RAI 15.8% ABV in a 0.72-litre bottle is an expressive junmai sake that combines traditional Japanese brewing craftsmanship with innovative production methods. Produced by Ozeki Corporation, this premium sake impresses with its harmonious balance of intense umami, a smooth texture and an elegant structure. The name ‘RAI’ is derived from the kanji that can also be read as ‘amazake’ – a traditional sake base that lends this Junmai sake its particular depth and characteristic umami flavour. At the same time, the name alludes to the Japanese word ‘Mirai’, which means ‘future’.


For the Ozeki Junmai RAI, Ozeki developed the innovative Mirai technique, which combines the Sanki-Amazake-Moto and Kobo-Jikomi methods for the first time. This unique brewing method gives the sake its exceptional richness, smooth texture and complex aroma. With an alcohol content of 15.8% vol., this Junmai sake is suitable for both beginners and experienced sake enthusiasts. Depending on personal preference, it can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature or slightly warmed, revealing different facets of its flavour profile. Furthermore, Ozeki Junmai RAI is gluten-free, sulphite-free, kosher, GMO-free and vegan.
