Description
The Schwarzböck Wiener Gemischter Satz Bisamberg DAC 2025, 12.5% ABV, in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an elegant Austrian white wine from Vienna that reflects the long tradition of the Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC. This distinctive style of wine is produced from various grape varieties that grow together in a single vineyard, are harvested together and vinified together. For this vintage, the Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Goldmuskateller varieties come together to form a harmonious and complex cuvée.
The grapes come from the Stammersdorf vineyards at the foot of the Bisamberg. Geologically, the Bisamberg forms a continuation of the flysch zone of the Vienna Woods, characterised by sandstone, calcareous clay marl and layers of sandy loam and loess. The continental climate, with Pannonian influences, and the Bisamberg’s unique microclimate promote the development of the grapes’ aromas. The 2025 wine year produced delicate aromas thanks to a cool, damp July, whilst the dry weather during the autumn harvest created ideal conditions. Following the harvest in early October, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing on the fine lees until mid-January, before bottling takes place at the end of February. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., this Wiener Gemischte Satz is an elegant wine of origin with a distinctive character.
