Papalin 5 Years Old Jamaica High Ester Rum is a distinctive Jamaican rum, produced under the direction of Velier as a blend of selected distillates from three renowned distilleries: Worthy Park Rum, Long Pond and Hampden Estate Rum. High-ester components from the Marques WPL, STCE and C<>H ranges are used, bringing together different facets of traditional Jamaican rum production. Molasses and dunder form the basis, and distillation takes place in classic pot stills. It is precisely the high ester content that is a key characteristic of this style of rum and gives it its intense, unmistakably Jamaican aroma. No sugar, colourings or other additives are used.

Following distillation, Papalin Jamaica High Ester Rum was aged for five years under tropical conditions in Jamaica in ex-bourbon casks. Due to the warm climate, tropical ageing ensures an intense exchange between the distillate and the oak, without masking the rum’s distinctive high-ester character. With an alcohol content of 47 per cent, the 0.7-litre bottle offers a robust yet balanced structure.
