Description
The Leitner Junker Steiermark 2026 12% ABV is a youthful, fresh Austrian white wine from Styria, produced by the Leitner Winery. As a Styrian Junker, it represents the traditional presentation of the new vintage and embodies the region’s vibrant wine culture. The carefully blended white wine cuvée, comprising 60 per cent Pinot Blanc, 20 per cent Sauvignon Blanc and 20 per cent Yellow Muscat, brings together three characteristic Styrian grape varieties. The 2026 vintage is cultivated using conventional viticultural methods and represents an uncomplicated, approachable style of wine. As a dry young wine from Austria, the Leitner Junker is designed for immediate enjoyment and combines the distinctive characteristics of its origin with the tradition of Styrian young wine.
During the production of the Leitner Junker Styria 2026, the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks, thereby preserving the varietal characteristics of the three grape varieties. The decision not to use wood barrel ageing supports the original style of the young wine and emphasises its authentic character. With an alcohol content of 12% in a 0.75-litre bottle with a screw cap, this Styrian Junker 2026 is ideal as a versatile accompaniment to meals and for social occasions. Unlike wines intended for longer bottle ageing, the Leitner Junker is designed to be enjoyed early. The combination of classic Styrian young wine culture, careful selection of grape varieties and modern winemaking techniques makes it a distinctive representative of the new Austrian wine vintage.
