Description
Heinrich Verjus 2026 is a naturally cloudy, alcohol-free grape juice made from 100 per cent Blaufränkisch, produced from grapes harvested whilst still unripe. The term ‘verjus’ comes from French and translates as ‘green juice’. Unlike in traditional winemaking, the grapes are harvested before they are fully ripe, thereby preserving their natural acidity. For this Blaufränkisch Verjus from Heinrich, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand. The result is a natural product that contains no alcohol and, thanks to its unique production method, differs significantly from conventional grape juice. Its natural cloudiness emphasises its authentic character.
Heinrich Verjus 2026 is available in a handy 0.5-litre bottle and is ideal for both creative cooking and making non-alcoholic drinks. With 0% alcohol and its natural acidity, it offers a versatile alternative to lemon juice or vinegar, particularly when dishes require a more subtle acidic note. In modern bar culture, too, verjus made from unripe Blaufränkisch grapes is gaining prominence as an ingredient in non-alcoholic aperitifs and cocktails. The combination of 100 per cent Blaufränkisch, entirely hand-picked grapes and naturally cloudy processing makes Heinrich Verjus an intriguing speciality for fine dining, creative drink recipes and the conscious enjoyment of non-alcoholic beverages.
