Description
The Juliusspital Silvaner Dry 2025, 12.5% ABV, is a classic Franconian white wine from Germany, produced by the long-established Weingut Juliusspital in Würzburg. As a VDP.GUTSWEIN and German quality wine, it embodies the characteristic style of the Silvaner grape variety, which has been closely associated with viticulture in Franconia for centuries. The Weingut Juliusspital cultivates vineyards in various parts of the Franconian wine-growing region and, for its range of grape varieties, carefully selects each year those grapes that best express the typical character of the respective variety. The focus of the vineyard work is on a gentle approach to nature, deliberately limited yields and sustainable soil management. The selection of classic grape varieties suited to the specific site results in authentic wines that reflect their regional origins.
In the production of the Juliusspital Silvaner Dry 2025, particular emphasis is placed on the gentle processing of the grapes. A special grape lift and careful pressing ensure the harvest is handled with the utmost care. This is followed by slow, temperature-controlled fermentation at 16–18 °C, before the young white wine rests on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. This ageing process supports the development of a balanced structure and preserves the Silvaner’s varietal character. With an alcohol content of 12.5% in the 0.75-litre bottle, the Juliusspital Silvaner 2025 dry is a versatile accompaniment to both regional and modern cuisine. The wine is intended for early enjoyment and is at its best within the first two years after harvest, i.e. until around 2027.
