Rum Malecon Añejo 15 Años Reserva Superior 40% vol. 0.7 l is a premium 15-year-old rum from Panama, which impresses with its long cask ageing and traditional Cuban-style production. It is produced for the Rum Malecon brand, which draws on Cuba’s classic rum-making tradition and allows its distillates to mature under Panama’s tropical climate. Malecon Reserva Superior 15 Years Old is made from sugar cane molasses and is then aged for 15 years in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak. Due to Panama’s warm climate, an intense exchange takes place between the rum and the cask wood during maturation, whilst at the same time a significant proportion of the distillate is lost through evaporation. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, this Panamanian Añejo rum is one of the brand’s classic, long-aged releases.
