The Linie Aquavit Authentic range comprises an exceptional Norwegian aquavit, renowned for its unique ageing method. With an alcohol content of 41.5% ABV, it offers a perfect balance between spicy herbal notes and a smooth, mature depth. Its unique character is the result of a meticulous ageing process: the aquavit is first aged in oak casks that were previously used for sherry. It then embarks on a sea voyage of at least four months across the equator (‘Linie’ means ‘equator line’), where it is exposed to the climatic influences of fluctuations in temperature and humidity – a tradition that makes it unmistakable worldwide.

The carefully selected botanicals include caraway, star anise, coriander, fennel, and orange and lemon peel, which lend it its warm, spicy and slightly sweet notes. The cask maturation also imparts subtle notes of vanilla, wood and sherry, making it particularly smooth and harmonious.
