Licor 43, the world's best-selling premium liqueur from Spain, is based on a carefully guarded recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation within the family. It combines a selection of exotic fruits with aromatic herbs and is rounded off with a subtle hint of vanilla. This versatile liqueur has been produced continuously since 1924 by the Diego Zamora S. Carefully selected spices, herbs and Mediterranean citrus fruits are used in the production of Licor 43 Cuarenta y Tres Original. These ingredients are macerated in water-alcohol mixtures in a special process and then combined in precisely balanced proportions. Licor 43 Original is matured in stainless steel tanks for a period of six to nine months, with the exact duration being determined by Licor 43's experts based on the desired flavour. To fine-tune the mild flavour, it is stored in a cold chamber at around -5 °C. A final microfiltration removes the smallest particles, giving the liqueur its characteristic golden colour.
