Hödl Hof Original Zwetschke Schnaps is a premium fruit brandy that combines Styria’s centuries-old distilling tradition with modern craftsmanship. Produced in Hödl Hof’s long-established distillery, the focus is on the highest quality and regional ingredients. The hand-picked plums used come from the estate’s own plum orchard as well as from selected fruit growers in the region.

Production follows the old Styrian tradition of double distillation in copper stills. The spirit is processed particularly gently in a 300-litre ‘Raubrand’ still and a 200-litre ‘Feinbrand’ still, both made of pure copper. After harvesting, the fruit is pitted, fermented under temperature-controlled conditions and then processed using a method known as ‘Herzstückdestillation’ – only the purest and highest-quality distillate is extracted. The schnapps is then matured in wood, glass or stainless steel until it has achieved perfect flavour harmony.
