Bommerlunder Aquavit is a traditional spirit with a long history dating back to 1895. The recipe originally came from the Bommerlund Kro inn, which was located on the German-Danish border. Since then, this aquavit has been produced using a tried and tested process that perfectly combines the characteristic flavours of caraway, dill and other herbs and spices. Since 2000, production has taken place in Schleswig-Holstein, while distillation takes place in Lower Saxony.

After distillation, Bommerlunder Aquavit matures for 6 months in oak barrels, which gives it a special softness and a subtle wood and vanilla flavour. Aquavit (from the Latin "aqua vitae" - water of life) is similar to gin in its production, but is based on caraway and dill instead of juniper. This creates its unmistakable, spicy and fresh character.

Thanks to over 100 years of tradition and maturation in oak barrels, this aquavit offers a full-bodied and authentic flavour experience that lovers of classic caraway spirits will particularly appreciate.
