Mellow Corn Kentucky Straight Corn Whisky is a real rarity amongst American whiskies. It belongs to the rare category of Straight Corn Whiskies, which must contain at least 81 per cent maize in the mash. Produced by the Heaven Hill Distillery, Mellow Corn offers a mild, sweet yet robust flavour profile with an alcohol content of 50 per cent by volume (100 proof).

A distinctive feature of this whisky is its ageing for four years in used ex-bourbon casks, which gives it a smoother woody note than classic bourbons aged in new casks. This preserves the natural sweetness of the maize and brings out soft vanilla and caramel flavours. Its distinctive yellow label design makes it instantly recognisable, and its unique profile clearly sets it apart from bourbon or rye whisky.
