The Glenlivet 15 Years Old French Oak Reserve is a particularly elegant whisky, matured for at least 15 years in Limousin oak casks from the Dordogne region of France. These casks, which are also used for maturing cognacs, are characterised by their low wood density, allowing the whisky to penetrate deep into the wood. The result is an unmistakable depth and complexity, with a unique, pleasant spiciness that gives this whisky its distinctive character.
