No. 3 London Dry Gin was developed by Berry Bros. & Rudd, a long-established London wine and spirits merchant, with the aim of creating a classic and exceptionally well-balanced London Dry Gin for sophisticated cocktails. It took around two years to develop the recipe, a process involving, amongst others, the Master Distiller, experienced bartenders and Dr David Clutton. The gin is produced in the Netherlands in a historic, brick-clad copper still that is around 100 years old. It is based on wheat spirit, which is distilled together with a deliberately limited selection of just six botanicals.


The recipe for No. 3 Gin focuses on three key elements: juniper, citrus fruits and spices. Juniper is clearly at the heart of the classic London Dry profile, whilst citrus notes provide freshness and selected spices lend structure and depth. In keeping with the requirements for a London Dry Gin, no additional botanicals or artificial flavourings are added after distillation to alter the flavour. With a robust 46% ABV in the 0.7-litre bottle, No. 3 has been specifically developed with classic gin drinks in mind. The precisely balanced blend of botanicals and the traditional, dry style make it a versatile premium gin, particularly suited to a Gin & Tonic or Dry Martini.
