Description
Jägermeister is a world-renowned herbal liqueur speciality from Germany with a long tradition. With an alcohol content of 35 % vol., it is renowned for its unique blend of 56 carefully selected herbs, roots, flowers and fruits, which give it its unmistakable flavour. The original recipe has remained unchanged since it was first produced in 1934 and is still closely guarded to this day.
Production begins with the careful maceration of the botanical ingredients, followed by several months’ ageing in oak barrels to ensure the flavours harmonise perfectly. The result is a complex, deeply spicy liqueur with a perfect balance of sweet, bitter and spicy notes. Jägermeister is traditionally served ice-cold at -18 °C as a shot, but is also excellent as a base for cocktails and long drinks.
