The Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is distilled in traditional copper pot stills from carefully selected molasses and then matured for at least 12 years in selected ex-bourbon casks. During this long ageing period, it develops an impressive depth and richness, underpinned by an intensely balanced body.

With this bottling, the producer remains true to the classic Venezuelan style, renowned for its rich and warm flavours – a style that has increasingly been supplanted in recent years by lighter, more approachable rums.
