Jameson Black Barrel Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey, 40% ABV, 0.7 l, is a special release from the historic Midleton Distillery in Ireland, which reinterprets the classic Jameson style with even greater depth and spice. Since 1780, the name Jameson Whiskey has been synonymous with smooth, harmonious Irish whisky – the Black Barrel stands out clearly from the original thanks to its special cask management.


Like all Jameson Whiskey varieties, this one is triple-distilled, which gives it its exceptional smoothness. What makes it special, however, is the maturation process: a combination of ex-bourbon casks and sherry casks is used, with the bourbon casks being double-charred (‘Black Barrels’). This process intensifies the aromas of vanilla, caramel and toasted wood, lending the whisky a rich complexity. Bottled at 40% ABV, the Black Barrel is well-balanced, full-bodied and yet typically smooth in character.


The elegant 0.7-litre bottle makes it an attractive centrepiece for any home bar and an excellent gift idea for lovers of Irish whiskies.
